The SeaLink Travel Group (SeaLink) is a South Australian-owned company involved in the tourism and transport industries. It is best known for the provision of ferry services between Cape Jervis, south of Adelaide, and Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island.
It is also a major provider of packaged holidays, accommodation and coach tours highlighting the diversity of Kangaroo Island.

The SeaLink Travel Group (SeaLink) is able to offer a limited number of sponsorship opportunities. Every sponsorship opportunity is reviewed on a case-by-case basis. If the opportunity meets the guidelines that SeaLink has established for sponsorships, support may be possible.
For initial contact, please forward a proposal to us a minimum of six (6) weeks prior to your event and any print advertising deadlines. Please outline the event and/or request and be as specific as you can, detailing in full what the event/and or request is, and in turn, what will be provided to SeaLink as part of the sponsorship arrangement. Please allow at least 15 working days for processing. Key elements of your proposal should include:
- What is the concept/event/request?
- When will the concept/event be taking place?
- What/who is your target market?
- What form and level of support are you seeking from SeaLink?
- What are the benefits that you propose to return to SeaLink?
Full details of the benefits you propose should be outlined as clearly as possible. You should provided details in relation to any proposed media/advertising schedule, along with details for signage, size and placement of logo, hospitality, promotional opportunities etc. Please keep in mind that we like to pursue opportunities that deliver positive exposure for SeaLink and which encourage people to travel to and/or participate in the relevant event/concept.

Applications are accepted on-line at sponsorship@sealink.com.au. We'll try our best to respond within 10 working days to your request. Please be patient if the response to your request takes a little longer than expected as we receive many requests each week and it does take time to thoroughly review and assess all opportunities. We advise that we have a limited number of sponsorship spaces available.
In helping you to put together your proposal, some general guidelines are outlined below:
- What does Kangaroo Island SeaLink offer?
Kangaroo Island SeaLink does not provide any cash support. All sponsorship opportunities involve contra ie SeaLink Travel Group products and services in return for advertising, publicity and exposure.
- Personal Assistance Requests
SeaLink receive many personal requests for assistance with travel for compassionate reasons, especially for disadvantaged or ill people who are experiencing great hardships. While we wish we were in a position to be able to assist with every single one of them, SeaLink is simply unable to help the majority of requests for assistance.
- Community Fundraising
Fundraising is an integral part of the activities undertaken by many schools, churches, Societies, Clubs and community organisations. The majority of requests sent to us relate to this type of fundraising. While we would like to obviously help all of you, we simply cannot (as there would be no seats left for paying guests if we did!) and as we find it difficult to justify assisting one without assisting all requests we're unable to donate goods or services for fetes, trivia nights, auctions etc. at this time. We will however, assess each request on a case by case basis, taking into consideration the limited sponsorship packages available and the history of our relationship with you.
- Sporting Teams & Individual Athletes
On rare occasions SeaLink will provide sponsorship for professional or championship level athletes or sporting groups. The majority of our sporting sponsorship is centred on the people of Kangaroo Island who live in a 'remote' location and do not have the same opportunities that sporting groups or athletes have that live on the mainland. SeaLink do however, offer generous group discounts for sporting and educational groups who wish to travel to Kangaroo Island for sporting competition or educational reasons. - The SeaLink Travel Group looks favourably on proposals that:
- Benefit a bona fide charity organisation
- Include other professional organisations that complement the SeaLink Travel Group brand
- Provides SeaLink with significant and valuable return for assistance
- Is an event or situation that supports SeaLink's values and goals
