SeaLink operates two large, fast and comfortable ocean-going catamaran ferries between Cape Jervis on the mainland and Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island in South Australia.
The 45 minute crossing by SeaLink ferry from Cape Jervis to Penneshaw is a great start to your holiday and we guarantee you will feel the excitement mount as KI comes into view.
Both ferries are 50 metres long and were purpose-built to suit the waters of Backstairs Passage. So well suited are the vessels that SeaLink's cancellation rate due to extreme weather, sea conditions or breakdown is less than 0.5%, or one in 1200 departures.
Our ferries feature licensed cafés, airline and café style seating and lounges, TV/video monitors and video amusement games ensuring that the 45-minute crossing is comfortable and enjoyable.
Ferries operate an average of four trips per day and up to 12 services per day during peak periods.
