SeaLink Travel Group Limited is the Ultimate Holding Company for the Sealink Group of Companies, including Kangaroo Island Sealink, Adelaide Sightseeing, City Centre Travel, Australian Holiday Centre in New South Wales and Victoria, Vivonne Bay Outdoor Education Centre, TravelLink Technology and Subritzky SeaLink in New Zealand.

Giuliano Ursini
Giuliano M. Ursini
Non-Executive Chairman

Giuliano Ursini holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Adelaide and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects. Mr Ursini is Managing Director of Ursini Globus Pty Ltd and has also operated a construction company and a real estate development company since 1982.

He has designed and developed major projects in many fields of endeavour including tourism.

Frederick Mann
Frederick A. Mann
Non-Executive Director

Fred Mann is a Chartered Accountant with over 30 years experience in the Australian business community.  Since selling his accounting practice to a national firm he has spent nearly two decades in commercial projects, including investment, real estate, sports and leisure centres, management and tax consulting, and travel and tourism.

He led a management buyout of an international advertising agency, chairing the newly acquired group, and is a founding investor and Director of the SeaLink Travel Group. He currently consults to a number of businesses, including a building products company developing major projects in China and India.

Mr. Mann is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, and a member of the Commercial Law Association, Australian Institute of Company Directors, and the Australian Shareholders’ Association


Brenton Mayfield
Brenton J. Mayfield
Non-Executive Director

Brenton Mayfield holds a Bachelor of Electronic Engineering degree and a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of Adelaide. He has had over 40 years technical and management experience in both Australia and the United Kingdom. He is a Member of the Institute of Electrical Engineers (UK) and a Chartered Engineer (UK).

In later years, he became Managing Director of the family company, F.R. Mayfield Electrical Engineering Pty Ltd. This business was sold to the U.K. company, AMEC U.K. and Mr Mayfield became Managing Director of the AMEC Australian company employing over 800 people with operations in all States of Australia.

Since 1990 Mr Mayfield has been Chief Executive Officer of Adelaide based BJM Engineering Services Pty Ltd an electrical service and data cabling company.

Mr Mayfield is a founding member and shareholder of SeaLink Travel Group Ltd.


Angelo Russo
Angelo Russo

Non-Executive Director

Angelo Russo was born in Italy and migrated to Australia when he was ten years of age.

He has been involved in property development, and his extensive experience in the hospitality industry over a period of many years is well recognised. Mr. Russo acquired a rural property at Cape Jervis in the late 1980's and acquired the Cape Jervis Tavern that incorporates both a motel and general store in 1992.

He is a founding investor and Director of the SeaLink Travel Group of and has first-hand, local knowledge of the Fleurieu Peninsula and Kangaroo Island.


Chris Smerdon
Chris Smerdon

Non-Executive Director

Chris has extensive experience in the Information Technology field. He founded Protech Australasia in 1984 and was managing director until he sold his interests in 1995. Under his leadership, Protech commenced as a start up and was developed into a national business with offices located throughout Australia.

In 1996 he established IT Services Group which in 2001 became part of Vectra Corporation Limited an international player in Security Consulting, Solutions and Infrastructure. Chris is currently managing director of Vectra Corporation. Chris has specialist management experience, a strong technical knowledge and a history of establishing and building new businesses.

Other directorships currently held by Chris are with the South Australian Government Motorsport Board, Coachlines of Australia Pty Ltd and Papyrus Australia Ltd, a successful IPO.

Bill Spurr
Bill Spurr
Non-Executive Director

Mr Spurr’s extensive experience in the tourism and hospitality industries dates back to the early '80s when he was the Executive Director of the Australian Hotels Association. He then spent several years as the Head of School, Tourism and Hospitality, Adelaide College of TAFE.

In his role as Executive Director of the Adelaide Tourism and Convention Authority, he was responsible for a dramatic rise in the promotion of Adelaide as a convention venue and tourist destination.

In 1995, he became the General Manager of the newly formed Australian Major Events group with the agenda of attracting significant sporting and cultural events to South Australia, and promoting their benefits within the State.

The South Australian Tourism Commission and Australian Major Events became one organisation in March 1997.
Mr Spurr has held the position as Chief Executive of the South Australian Tourism Commission since 1999.

Mr Spurr is Chair of Education Adelaide, a member of the Australian Standing Committee on Tourism, member of the Sustainable Tourism Cooperative Research Centre Board, board member of the Adelaide Entertainment Centre and was Chair of the World Police and Fire Games held in Adelaide in March 2007.


Jeffrey Ellison
Jeffrey Ellison

Chief Executive Officer

Jeff is the Chief Executive of the SeaLink Travel Group, a position he has held since early 1997.  Jeff is a Chartered Accountant and joined SeaLink following 8 years in Private Practice.  Jeff has been instrumental in the development of SeaLink from a ferry and day tour operator to a diversified tourism and transport operator.

Jeff is also passionate about Information Technology and has a strong appreciation and understanding of the value of marketing.
Jeff currently sits on the following Boards:

  • Board Member of the South Australian Tourism Commission
  • Chairman of the South Australian Tourism Commission Audit and Risk Management Committee
  • Member of the Adelaide Convention Centre Board and is Chairman of the Management Committee.
  • Member of the Tourism Transport Forum (TTF) Board and also a member of its Audit and Finance Committee.
  • A Regional Board Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants SA & NT.
  • Member of the Prince Alfred College Council, Council Executive and Building Committee.
